Katty Montanez, MSPT was born in Peru and migrated to the US at the age of 12 residing in South Florida ever since. Being raised in the hallways of Jose Marti Middle to the classrooms of Miramar High, Katty stayed locally and attended The University of Miami (UM). She graduated from UM with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Katty has been a Pediatric Physical Therapist for the past 17 years practicing in Pediatric outpatient clinics, aquatic therapy, private practice, intense therapy, and Private and Public school system. She is a passionate PT that enjoys playing with kids and helping them improve their skills to be “kids.” Her life-long journey in learning has
specialized Katty in Sensory Processing techniques that make her a “different kind of PT.” Starting to mature the children from the base up is one of her specialties using tools such as Kinesiotaping, Therapeutic Listening (ILs), Adaptive equipment, Therasuit Therapy, and Aquatic therapy. Her “out of scope” techniques can help your child start to see the world in a different way that can improve gross motor skills, social skills, and the child overall.
