Occupational therapists at Konfetti Kidz Therapy are licensed professionals trained to help children reach their optimal functional performance in the skills of daily life. Sensory and neuro-motor based therapies provide children with the opportunities to become more functional and independent when faced with the many challenges presented at home, in school and in the community. Our therapists use their passion for helping children to examine, evaluate and develop an individualized program to increase the child’s developmental skills. These programs usually integrate various treatment approaches into entertaining “play” therapy techniques that enhance the child’s capabilities.

Our occupational therapy team will evaluate and treat the following skill areas:

Sensory integration and processing

• Postural control, alignment, movement patterns
• Core strength, motor planning, coordination
• Shoulder girdle, upper extremity, arm and hand function
• Fine motor skills
• Visual motor skills
• Self-help skills
• Social interaction skills

Our occupational therapy team will:

• Assess and treat
• Recommend strategies
• Recommend assistive equipment
• Provide education to caregivers
• Consult with other professionals regarding the role of occupational
therapy and how it can improve the child’s daily life
• Collaborate with caregivers and child to create effective carry-over from the occupational therapy clinic to home
